WhatsApp to Introduce Multi-Account Feature: Manage Multiple Accounts on One Device

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to add and manage multiple accounts on a single device. This feature, currently being tested in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS version 25.9.10.70, aims to enhance user convenience by eliminating the need for separate devices or relying on WhatsApp Business for managing different accounts.

With this update, users will be able to add a second account directly from the app’s settings. WhatsApp is expected to redesign the settings interface to accommodate this change. Once an additional account is added, users will see their profile picture in the settings tab, making it easier to switch between different accounts.

WhatsApp is exploring two ways to add a second account. Users can either register a new profile with a different phone number or link an additional account by scanning a QR code from their primary device. Each account will have independent settings for notifications, backups, and media downloads, ensuring customized user experiences for different profiles.

Although there is no confirmed launch date, this update aligns with WhatsApp’s efforts to enhance functionality. In October 2023, WhatsApp introduced the ability to log into multiple accounts and switch between them within the same app. This upcoming feature will further streamline communication, making it easier for users to manage both personal and professional accounts without needing extra devices or third-party applications.
